Almost two weeks... Oops

Ryan: you say your posts are going to be sporadic... Ha! I think I've been established as the King of Sporadic (and infrequent) Blogging.

So yeah... there's sooooooo much to talk about since it has been technically 12 days now (but that was just a quick update). Lets see what we can remember:

The Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, and Uncle Kracker concert was absolutely amazing. Definitely worth the money spent, but the seats could have been more desirable. I'm for sure going to see Kenny any future times he comes to town because he was seriously awesome. I'm going to have to buy his older CDs though, because there were a few songs he did that I've never heard before. I can't not know the words to my favorite country artist's songs... thats just unacceptable.

Anywho... most of my time lately has been consumed with work. No joke. I started working for a friend's parents (Sandi and Rick, I'll probably mention them many times in the future) doing construction work, in addition to McDonalds. I make $10/hour there and it's full time+, start at 8am M-F and work until I'm done for the day (anywhere from 4:30-6:30). It's pretty cool because I work with four guys that I knew from high school with and the work isn't too terribly difficult. I have been doing quite a bit of grass and weed cutting in these wetland/field areas. I was told today that I'd probably be doing a lot of that this summer since I'm one of two people who isn't allergic to grass and the other guy broke (shattered is almost a more appropriate term) his middle finger just over a week ago and is supposed to be out for 6 weeks (but is back at work and "taking it easy.").

I worked 44.5 hours last Monday-Friday for Sandi, then worked at McDonalds 8-4 on Saturday and 5-11 am and 2-5 pm (unloading our stock truck). That means I worked around 61.5 hours last week, earning about $570 before taxes. The plan for the rest of the summer is to work for Sandi during the week and at McDonalds on the weekends. With another 6-7 weeks left of summer that I'm willing to work before heading back to school... that has the potential of meaning lots of money is coming my way. I estimate about $4000 total this summer, in just over two months :)

I really haven't done much other than work. I went and hung out with Peter and Ryan and the gang up at Lake Meridian and Alex's house a couple Sundays ago. That was a pretty fun time... nevermind the facts that I confirmed that I'm not much of a swimmer and Peter spilled most of his Big Gulp on the floor of my car.

My mom also rented "Chasing Liberty" and I watched that. Its the movie with Mandy Moore playing the President's daughter. Despite the fact that it is indeed a chick flick, I really enjoyed it. Seeing as how it is now my favorite chick flick, and my DVD collection is lacking in that department (as Katy pointed out to me back at school), I'm planning on buying it soon.

Ok, its dinner time (tacos!) and thats really all I have for ya. If you want to hang out or something, you might want to give me a weeks notice at least because I'll probably be working everyday for the next month and a half otherwise. Or, if you're closer to me, I'm almost always off work by 6 during the week and 4 on the weekends. Feel free to give me a ring though, look to the right of your screen if you don't know my number.

Oh yea, if you have something uber fun planned for the fourth, GET AHOLD OF ME and I'll be there!

I hope you all are having a fun and safe summer, and not working too hard/much.

Because... I'm the king of that too.
